Located on Little Cut Foot Sioux Lake, with access to Big Cut
Foot Sioux and Big W innie (Lake Winnibigoshish). Tie your boat to your own
dock in the resort's protected harbor. Cut Foot has a handicap accessible
lodge and cabins, plus a fishing dock for the handicapped and children.
Our well equipped, clean cabins are located near the water...NO STEEP banks or
steps to climb.
Cut Foot is a place where you bring the whole family.
You'll enjoy many of our activities, such as the children's playground, canoes,
fun bugs, paddle boats, kayaks, evening campfires and hiking in the wood to
watch the wildlife. The US Forest Service Visitor's Center is within walking
distance which includes a variety of programs. Nearby are restaurants,
churches, shopping, historical sites and golf courses.
At our strategic location in the Chippewa National Forest, you
may see
the loons swimming or the bald eagles soaring about the
tall beautiful pines. You
will find yourself free of tension at the edge of the
wilderness, north of the stress line. Open year round, you can hunt duck,
geese, grouse, deer or even the black bear (which are seen all summer around the
resort area). After we get a good blanket of snow, ski the many many miles
of marked trails that you walked in the summer. Our groomed ski trails are
excellent for beginners to intermediate skiers. Snowmobile across the
continental divide.
We carry a supply of groceries, pop, beer, snacks and a whole
lot
more.
Plus we have a laundry room for our guests. Everything for the fisherman's
needs: live bate, tackle, gas, boats, motors, launch, and any fishing hot
spots. With 100,000 acres of water in this chain of lakes, you can always
find a place to fish out of the wind, OR hire a guide to help you learn some new
fishing tricks.
Cut Foot / Winnie lakes have some of the best walleye fishing
in the state. Other fish that may be caught in our waters include
northern, muskie, crappie, bass, perch, sunfish, bluegill and bullhead.
